Create connections and contribute to a meaningful project!ย
Luther Court Society recently launched the Legacies Stories โ Pass It Forward Project thanks to funding from the Government of Canadaโs New Horizons for Seniors Program.
This meaningful initiative celebrates and honours older adults by capturing memories and life stories through video storytelling.
Through creative innovation and meaningful intergenerational connections, the project unites people of all ages to share experiences, exchange wisdom, and strengthen community ties.ย
This project is made possible by the wonderful volunteers at Luther Court. If you would like to join the Legacy Stories project, email Mia at community@luthercourt.org or apply to volunteer today!ย
Volunteer Opportunities
As a committee member, you will play a key role in planning and delivering a meaningful initiative that empowers older adults to capture and share their life stories. From hands-on teamwork and coordination skills to interviewing, digital storytelling, and community engagement, you will build a versatile skill set while making a meaningful impact. Bring your ideas, energy, and passion for community!
Volunteer interviewers will work with older adult storytellers to help capture and preserve their life stories through guided conversations and video recordings. This is a unique opportunity to build intergenerational connections, strengthen digital skills, and support older adults in creating lasting digital memories to share with loved ones and future generations.
As a volunteer storyteller, you will have the opportunity to meet with a trained volunteer interviewer who will guide you in sharing meaningful highlights and reflections from your life. Whether you have one story or a lifetime of experience to share, your contribution will help preserve the wisdom and richness of your generation. Take this chance to share your memories and experiences in a way that will last for generations!
