Accreditation Survey planned for Luther Court

SEPTEMBER 6-8, 2022

Luther Court engages in a rigorous Quality Assurance program, closely aligned with the Accreditation Canada standards.  This work occurs continuously, and we undergo review by Accreditation Canada every four years to ensure that we meet or exceed global standards that lead to safe and effective care.  In 2013 and 2018 we received Exemplary Standing awards, the highest level of achievement that Accreditation Canada gives, for the amazing work that happens here.

Being accredited means that we have been assessed by an outside internationally recognized organization, Accreditation Canada, and have proven ourselves to be meeting or exceeding current health care standards.

While many of the standards that are being examined cover all programs and aspects of the organization, the main focus will be on the standards pertaining to Long Term Care.

Part of the accreditation process involves visits from health care professionals representing Accreditation Canada.  During their visit, they will speak with staff, volunteers, clients and families and members of the public to gain a better understanding of who we are and how we work to achieve excellence in caring for the community.  Two surveyors will be coming to Luther Court on September 6-8, 2022.

We will keep you updated as to how the journey to excellence is going and what you can expect to see around Luther Court.
